Social Care and Dementia
We have launched a petition to demand a debate at the highest level of government and a solution to the gaps in social care provision which disproportionately impact upon all people affected by dementia.
We launched this campaign in response to the recent visit to the UK by the UN’s Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, who observed that funding cuts of 49.9% to local authorities have led to desperate situations for many people. Often, this has had a huge and devastating impact on people living with and affected by dementia.
Our petition asks the government to acknowledge this fact, and to find solutions. Please take some time to look at the petition, sign and share it. Your support makes all the difference in creating change.
